Big Sky Team Receives the US Army Commander’s Award for Public Service

Big Sky is proud to announce that the US Army recognized our team’s exceptional work to improve the security clearance process worldwide by awarding the team with the Commander’s Award for Public Service. John Dillard, Hanno Ekdahl, Carolyn Purcell, and Jennifer Mathieson were presented with the award at a ceremony at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD on June 8th, 2010.

DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY
[Carolyn Purcell, Jennifer Mathieson, Jost H. Ekdahl, John Dillard] are presented the COMMANDER’S AWARD FOR PUBLIC SERVICE.
For exceptional performance while serving as a key member of the Army’s Lean Six Sigma team that streamlined the security process for the United States Army. [Ms. Purcell, Ms. Mathieson, Mr. Ekdahl, and Mr. Dillard]‘s efforts revolutionized and transformed the Army’s security clearance process by reducing the time required to obtain a security clearance by 80 percent. [He/She] helped create a centralized, standardized, and automated process for processing security clearances. [Ms. Purcell, Ms. Mathieson, Mr. Ekdahl, and Mr. Dillard]‘s contributions, professionalism, dedication, and distinguished service reflect great credit on [him/her] the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2, and the United States Army.
